SCID NEWBORN SCREENING
IDFA is raising awareness of SCID (Severe Combined Immune Deficiency) this year and campaigning for SCID newborn screening to be added to the Guthrie test. Support SCID newborn screening by signing our petition form and/or donating to our campaign through GOFundMe or Direct Donation through Westpac Reference “SCID Donation” to raise $1, 000, 000 for a NSW pilot study and research into this disease.
We encourage members to raise awareness by taking IDFA resource packs to your GP, Immunologist, hospital or other healthcare professionals. Call us on 1800 100 198 to order a pack for your GP.
PROFESSIONAL FUNDRAISER – INTERNATIONAL ENTERTAINMENT
IDFA raises funds through a professional fundraiser, International Entertainment. Through ticket sales to Razzamatazz, Circus Quirkus and the Magic Show, IDFA uses the profit to assist with our core activities and member services, providing free membership, patient resource packs, Healthcare Professional Kits, education, meetings and support to those with primary immune deficiencies in Australia. The tickets are distributed to our members and other sick and disadvantaged children and their families. More information about International Entertainment.
The congress programme is geared towards clinicians, nurses and patients. It features an array of world renowned expert physicians and leading stakeholders from the PID community who will share their experience and provide invaluable perspectives on major clinical considerations: – Early detection for optimal care; – Transplant advances; – PID clinical priorities by world region – Novel treatments; – PID care and ethical issues… among many others important topics!
