We are thrilled to have special guest speaker Dr Brian Broom, from New Zealand, for our final webinar in the Primary Immune Education Program. This will be a very special presentation.

Dr Broom is both a Clinical Immunologist and a Psychotherapist and internationally recognised as a leader in WHOLE PERSON healthcare, especially for people with chronic conditions of all kinds. All people have ‘stories’ but these are largely ignored in modern medicine, including immune conditions. He is strongly of the view that people should not be divided into body and mind, that they are wholes, and that treating them as wholes is crucial to good care. He has treated many patients with physical conditions who suffer because they have not been listened to. He has extensive experience with treating patients and training clinicians in the whole person-centred approach which combines excellent modern immunological care with listening to the patient and the patient’s family. His current work is focused on supervising medical students, medical specialists and psychotherapists in the ‘art’ of this approach to the whole.
